Embracing Nature: Color Trends

In the ever-evolving world of interior design, staying ahead of the curve is essential to create spaces that truly resonate with your vision. As an interior decorator passionate about nature-inspired designs, I'm thrilled to explore the enchanting color trends unveiled in this year's Sherwin Williams Colormix® Forecast for 2024. Color is ever-changing, progressing, and shaping. Each year, color trendsetters embrace the moments and select wonderful and exciting new palettes.

This year is no exception; the color mixers at Sherwin Williams have done it again with Anthology Volume 1!

What I love most about the No.1 color palette for 2024 is its inspiration from the beauty of nature and the way it features a soothing combination of blues and greens. The main color is connected to a range of other organic shades that make the palette feel calm and refreshing. Overall, the color scheme feels clear and natural, evoking a sense of peacefulness and relaxation.

The "Upward" shade, which is the color of the year, adds a touch of serenity to the mix.

Ever since we moved to Arizona, we've been struck by the inspiring colors of the Southwest. The area features a breathtaking display of soft reds and purples, complemented by warm earthy tones and bright pops of color in the spring. These colors constitute a blend of rich and vibrant hues that combine to create a distinctive and captivating palette. The natural clay and baked pigments' muted yet expressive tones add depth and texture to the overall aesthetic, making it even more stunning. If you're seeking inspiration for your next color scheme, you can't go wrong with the Southwest's shades of reds and purples.

Many of my clients are inspired by modern mountain or modern rustic styles when it comes to their home's interior color. As an interior decorator, I also find these styles at the top of my style list. Lately, I have observed that the Color Mix of Deeps and Darks is becoming a go-to choice for those who want to create a relaxing retreat atmosphere and add a touch of powerful contrast. The Color Mix Deeps and Dark hues are rich and deep, ranging from warm browns to cool blues, and can be used to create a moody or dramatic feel. The No.3 color mix can create a stunning mountain and rustic feel when paired with natural materials like wood and stone.

In our fast-paced world, we are constantly bombarded with noise and stimulation that can be overwhelming. If you are looking for a way to create a peaceful and relaxing environment, consider adding a touch of simplicity to your space. You can choose to add small pops of color or go for a more subdued, single-color scheme to create a space that encourages introspection and deep thinking. Take a break from the chaos and find solace in a serene atmosphere with the whites of the No.4 palette.

I hope these Anthology colors have given you some inspiration for a refresh in the new year, but if you need more help, Let's Chat or head over to my paint selection service.
